The story on why I only have detail shots of this car is kind of sad. I had big plans for shooting this car, one of which was to possibly photograph it up on the frozen Georgetown Lake. But it wasn't to be... 

I took these detail shots in my driveway on February 5th. Later that afternoon I was on my way to one of the locations I had picked out to shoot the exterior. I was stopped at a red light in the left turning lane of an intersection. The left arrow light turned green, I entered the intersection and someone from the opposite way ran their red light and tagged me in the left rear. The impact wasn't very hard and I wasn't hurt at all, but it was enough to rip the rear bumper right off the car. Needless to way that put a end to my photo plans.

These photos were taken way back in October 2005 - I think the week after shooting the limited edition Audi S4. I wasn't able to take to many shots of this Audi A6, and those that I did I was never too happy with - which is why it has taken me four months to post them to my gallery. However, I did include the above image in my 2006 Audi Calendar because I liked the "fall" look of it.

I’ve never been shy to admit that I’m not a SUV lover, although my dislike of them doesn’t exactly come from first hand experience. The Volkswagen Touareg is the only SUV I’ve spent significant time behind the wheel of. The Touareg is a nice vehicle, but it didn’t do anything to change my mind about wanting a SUV on a daily basis.

The photo gallery for the recently reviewed all-new 2006 Volkswagen Passat 3.6 has been added to the site.

I have to say that I liked the all-new Passat. It no longer comes across as a lower-end Audi A4, both cars now have their own distinct look and personality. The Passat reminded me a lot of the Acura TL that was reviewed earlier in the year.

A photo gallery of the all new 2006 Mazda MX-5 (Miata) has been added to the site. This is one fun little car to drive, although it could use a little more power going in a straight line (what car couldn't?). Nice design, nice interior, perfect seating position and wonderful road manners. What more could you ask for? How about a price tag of $24k as tested and nearly 30 miles to a gallon.
